Eva’s Background:
As owner of Sort Things Out and a member of the National Association of Professional Organizers, Eva works one-on-one with individuals, helping clients to focus on one area in their lives to make changes and see results.
She is completing her first book in a series: Our Stories, Our Stuff: The Special Meaning Behind the Things We Keep. She has also been a guest columnist for a local regional newspaper and was interviewed for the June/July 2007 edition of BusinessWeek SmallBiz. She leads two Ryze Business Networking groups: The American Business Club and the Sort Things Out network. She is also the host of “Sort Things Out Talk Radio” podcasts, conducts corporate Lunch and Learn programs, teaches community education courses and workshops, and facilitates support groups to help clients get organized.
Her background includes performing in a dinner theatre production as the DJ and Master of Ceremonies for Joey & Mary’s Irish / Italian Comedy Wedding in the New York-New Jersey area, and working as Talent Liaison for televised award shows previously produced in New York City including Night of 100 Stars, Grammy Awards, MTV Music Awards, and Tony Awards. She is Founder and Executive Producer of Eva Abreu Productions, which produces family-friendly community dinner theatre presentations.
Eva also previously owned her own video production company, producing, directing, shooting and editing corporate videos, social event productions and local cable TV programs. As a former freelance stage manager and audio-visual technician, Ms. Abreu traveled across the U.S, staging corporate events, national sales and training meetings, product launches, etc.
Her corporate background includes positions as Assistant Vice President, Operations Manager for North and South America in charge of Videoconferencing and Audio-Visual Technology at two Wall Street investment firms. Eva is a graduate of Rutgers University, is married and lives with her husband and children in New Jersey, where she is active as a volunteer with local community groups.
